Did everyone enjoy the 3 days off of Chanson du Jour? I hope you did because I am bringing the heat this week. This week we are going to have a week-long competition. Every day I will play a song that is somehow, in some way attached to the rest of the songs. There is some common thread that weaves them all together. Please note this very important detail: the similarity has NOTHING to do with the artist, genre, year of release, etc. The songs are what we are looking at. What do they have in common? Each day I will give you one general clue and one specific clue. Sound like fun?
So, what is the point of this seemingly pointless exercise? If you can guess correctly the connection between all 6 songs, I will let you, the winner, select the Chanson du Jour for an ENTIRE WEEK. I will have no say. I will give up control for one whole week to the winner, if there is one. Good luck.

We are ready for the challenge. This first song is about getting in trouble, just like you must have as a youngster and a hoodlum. so we will see what today's song brings.

No, not getting in trouble. I am glad, i blog, that you didn't have to wiki the Paul Young connection. I have no idea who Paul Young is and would be hard pressed to find a week's worth of Paul Young covers. That is unfortunately not correct. Maybe the second song will help you.
