Chanson du Jour
For the religious revivalist in you...
This video made the blog for one reason and one reason alone. Can you guess it? (Hint: Def Leppard ain't got nothing on these guys) Dancing On Our Graves by The Cave Singers
so far i see a guitarist with one hand and a drummer with one eye (or at least an eye patch). did i miss any?
good song though. just watched a documentary on the appalachian hillbillies and think i recognized some of the footage. i could feel my brain cells dying off as i listened to billy ray cyrus' narrative, but at least now i know the origin of the term "redneck".
I too was morbidly drawn to the guitarist with no hand, but I was equally fascinated by the home video of your last ward activity. The snakes were a nice touch and I am sure suggested by the YM leaders. But seriously, the combination of religious zeal, moonshine, the steady driving rythum of a scrub board, snake venom, wild mushrooms and the loving bond between husband/wife/cousin/sister/brother (you fill in the punchline here) is the recipe for a great musical video.

I think you got 'em. I couldn't believe that guitarist. That is just weird. A documentary on appalachian hillbillies huh? Nice.
