I apologize in advance to all the many liberal that reads this blog, but this was just too good to pass up. I am certainly not saying that other Presidents and Congressional morons are not liars, but this is pretty good. If report cards were handed out to Presidents, Obama would not be doing too well. But, since he is a lib, he will probably still get a trophy and told he is a winner just because he participated.

Good thing Phill and I quit smoking....did Obama quit smoking yet? Its amazing all these promises of saving the poor and lowly, while promising that he will cut the national deficit in half by the end of his term, after quadrupling by encouraging little time-waste contract projects to be brought on by government that will be done in a matter of months...sheesh....Time to move to Australia...Hugh Jackman for president.

#4 boo-freakin'-hoo! TWO former lobbyists? bush had over 100 lobbyists/attorneys who directly oversaw their "former" employers.
#3 crying foul over cigarette tax is a pretty weak argument. anyway, it's not like he is taxing food stamps or oxygen. oh no! people might actually stop smoking in protest!
#2 one man's pork is another man's bacon. the first "pork" project that was started in MO, will employ 250 people for about 2 years.
#1 big government. after all that has transpired in the last year-and-a-half. i think the business/financial sector definitely needs someone looking over their shoulder.
since when did the republican lawmakers EVER give a hoot about the poor? oh yeah, since they decided they needed their votes in 2010/2012.

Thanks for the positive note. That gave me the energy to pick my ego back up off the ground. I never said Republicans care about the poor. We hate the poor. Lobbying is a way of life. If you don't have money and influence, don't talk to us, be around us, or let us smell you. Don't forget that if people stop smoking, many lobbyists will be out of a job. Didn't you see the movie Thank You For Smoking? But, let us not forget to realize that these are not standards we Republicans are putting on Obama. These are promises he made, therefore standards he put on himself. Just like when Dems have moral scandals and can't be held responsible for them because they have no values, Republicans make no promises to the little people and therefore cannot be held responsible when lobbyists run the country. A few counterarguments, if I may.
#1 government is at least 1/2 guilty for the problems as of late, so they cannot be the whole answer.
#2 nice one. I like that saying. Very true. I think ol' Schumer is right. Americans don't care about pork. Republicans don't care when it helps their constituents. I just hate it on a personal level
#3 I think we righties are more upset that this energy tax is coming down the pike than the stupid cigarette tax. I say let the smokers pay for health care. At least get something good out of it. But, for everyone to pay more taxes to have recycled toilet paper and "green" art museums does not sound ok.
#4 It's more than the 2 that are listed in the story, but you are correct. The Bush admin, as well as every one prior, were excellent at finding lobbyists. Obama just told us he was bringing "Change" we can believe in on that front
#5 Obama is a president. He will get criticized by someone for everything he does. He should get used to it. I still have no idea why someone would even WANT that crappy job
Thanks for your continued support despite my constant ribbings of Obama. I listen to too much Rush. But, I try and keep a level head about me. There are things I like about Obama. Like he plays basketball, and....ummm...I'll get back to you on that one.
Maybe I will start introducing the AARP perspective on everything political. We just really want social security and free perspcriptions.
