Well, I am pretty sure I just got owned by my cell science test today. Hopefully I pass the class and never have to see it again.

Apparently yesterday's song, a longshot from being the most boring song on the blog, put everyone to sleep. Let's wake y'all up, maybe.

What do you get when you combine Jared Hess (of Napoleon Dynamite fame) with Jemaine Clement (of Flight of the Conchords fame)? This:
Aging Is For The Birds
I watched this video the other day. I think it may have a few bad words. Sorry if it does. But, this guy is very funny and he is a gerontologist. He is 100% convinced he can stop aging and allow humans to live to 1000 years. Interesting, if you have a spare 22 minutes.

Over the last year or so, I have gotten really into "anti-folk" music. I don't know what it is about it. I just like it. I think it is really funny. It started with Moldy Peaches and Adam Green and has blossomed into a full-blown love for most anti-folk artists. Some of them have been on display on this blog. Here is another one.
East River by Jeffrey Lewis
And a bonus song for a special reader. I have always found it interesting that my political views would automatically disqualify me from any friendship with any of the musical artists that I like. Most of them, yes Anonymous including Radiohead, are passionate, with a capital P, liberals. That includes Jeffrey Lewis.

Now, I get to go listen to the hearts and feel the vascular system of some geriatric patients. That will be good practice for working on Ano....ummmm.....nevermind.

Fall In Line
Well, Obama, our fearless leader, can't seem to take criticism or even a reasonable question. So, we should just take it easy on him and fall in line.

A thousand apologies for the absence. If I am not posting songs everyday, what good am I to the world? This is all I have to offer. This just goes to show you that when Cami is not around, my life just falls apart. I can't even remember to post a song each day. I can't figure out how to prepare a meal. I can't figure out a decent time to fall asleep. Nothing seems to go right. I look forward to Friday, when the chaos will end upon her arrival. But, until then, let's hang in there.

So, I have been a little slacky the last couple of days. But, we will make up for it today with a lengthy video. I really think you will enjoy it (especially all of my reader who love/remember/long for the 70s). It may not be an official song, but I think you will all agree that the song is awesome. If you want to skip the informational intro, go to about the 3:30 mark and the song will start about there. But, for those of you with a weak science background (like me) may need the 3 minute intro. Skip it if you like.

PS - I sat thru a 2 hour lecture on this. I could have just watched this 13 minute video and learned the same garbage.

Arrows Of Eros by Golden Silvers
Maybe? I don't know. I kinda like this song. Their other songs sound kinda similar. Kind of a 70s meets 80s meets Brit Pop meets who-knows-what.

It seems like everyone has their own version of this song. But, this is my favorite. Plus, add Michel Gondry behind the camera and you have an awesome video to an awesome song.

It's not even 9 am. Have been on campus almost 3 hours already. About to sit through a 3 hour lecture on "Transcription and RNA Processing". I can think of nothing I would rather do. It is times like these where I need to fall back on my surefire form of entertainment: the lethal beating of Anonymous with a blunt object. That is why I chose today's song. It has the trifecta of Anonymous-beating.
1) Slow and long
2) Repetitive
3) In a foreign language
This should be an absolute drubbing and the thought of him having to sit through the next 4.5 minutes will keep me going all day today. So, here's to you, Anonymous. My sanity.
Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros
Just as a side note. I do like Sigur Ros. A lot. But, they are not a group that I can listen to at anytime. I have to be in the mood. But, I think their music is beautiful. I have heard their concerts are absolutely amazing. You just have to know when to move your "fins" to the left and right.

Well, it's official. I can palpate your zygomatic arch, acromioclavicular joint, inferior lateral angle of sacrum and your mastoid process (to name a few). After all that poking and prodding, I need a good little ditty to get me back into studying mode. This is actually a movie (Michael Jackson style) and you can skip to 2:30 if you don't want to watch it.

Another winner for you. There is a 2 minute intro (just the band talking about nonsensical things) that you can skip. Just start the video at the 2 min mark.
